 When enabling IRC for the first time, you connect to the server, and the
 server-connect (freenode-connect, for example) and NickServ bots will talk
 to you, allowing you to connect to a #channel from there.

 However, after closing NickServ and freenode-connect, you need to disable
 and re-enable IRC in order to connect again. Couldn't this be done with a
 "Connect to IRC" option in the File menu?
