#2187: Renaming buddy made difficult through lost focus

The new buddy renaming inline widget is nice, but its implementation
introduces an usability issue. In order to activate the renaming, you need
 to go through a
context menu. This menu can be laid over another application. After you
select the option, the focus is given (with Metacity's default focus
settings, at least) to the application under the menu, and the rename
 operation is thus cancelled.

For instance, Gaim occupies my desktop's top right corner and Evolution
rests right underneath. Whenever I try to rename a buddy, once the context
menu is closed, Evolution gets the focus and I lose the chance to rename
 the buddy.

I think that not canceling the rename operation when Gaim loses focus
would solve this issue. At least that is what Nautilus does when renaming
 a file.

happens with the latest Pidgin release.
