 A similar argument could be made for each of the protocols that we support
 in terms of how the native clients do things.  We aim for an experience
 that is as protocol agnostic as is reasonable, we also aim to have a
 simple, functional interface without unnecessary configuration
 preferences.

 The fact that it is possible to change this with a plugin means that if
 this is important enough to someone, they can find a way to accomplish it.
