 k, I just figured that if u don't want to use the font from the themes,
 you'd have to use fonts within the list that is compatible with Japanese.
 Go to "Preferences>Conversation" tab, click on "Conversation Font", pick
 and font and type some Japanese in the test area. If it shows up, you're
 good to go.
