#2241: Merge different protocols from the same user into one IM name

A lot of my friends have multiple user accounts and it would be beneficial
to see them as a single user instead of the same user with multiple
accounts.
Lets say we have an example person called user. User has 3 accounts.
user at yahoo.com - Yahoo chat
user at gmail.com - Gtalk
user at hotmail.com - MSN
In your Pidgin window you would see three different accounts open.
What I thought would be awesome was if you could somehow configure Pidgin
to merge those three accounts into one so that if "user" ever logged in to
any of them or all of them only one person would pop up in your Pidgin
window as just the entity "user".
If you started talking to them you could set the priority of which
protocol you wanted to initiate talking to them on.
If the user started chatting to you from an account on a different
protocol while you were already talking to them then it would all end up
in the same chat window as a reply. If the user you were talking to quit
one application say for example Gtalk then Pidgin could just send messages
to the next protocol in the priority list.
I don't know what others think of this idea but it would really help me
personally.
Great program guys!
Thanks,
Andrew Fenn
