 omgp.smiley-install.api.diff solves the removal problem by introducing
 void pidgin_themes_remove_smiley_theme(const char *file);

 It also adds better selection handling to gtkprefs. The currently active
 smiley theme is always reflected in the tree view row that's currently
 selected ... except when you remove a theme and the next one (or the first
 one if you remove the last one) gets selected. Then, for some reason, the
 smiley theme used in the conversation window is "none", whereas the
 selected smiley theme in the preferences window is the next one in the
 list.

 I may need some help getting the conversation window to reflect the smiley
 theme that becomes selected in the prefs window after a remove.
