 I know that many people like to avoid contacting mobile users, and it is
 often very frustrating to accidentally send a message to someone who is
 not at a computer.

 I know many other IM clients have this feature, and even though "simpler
 is better" is the rule for preferences, adding an option that would
 benefit large groups of users shouldn't be prevented.

 If for nothing else, hiding mobile contacts makes scrolling through long
 lists of contacts much faster and easier, and I believe that to be the
 ultimate goal of Pidgin.
