 I skipped that, because I don't see how that could be fixing warnings, and
 if it is, it's certainly not correct. I tracked down the GList warnings,
 which took HOURS and HOURS of work. See changesets
 1411afd7660760db59966c3a9f18e2adab8eb27e,
 af4ef5c68b6aedd888e71e4d587922faad6cc51d, and
 50475bfc4ddcde1db8533c1b41c7b4342d773e21.

 Also, I eliminated another set of warnings with changeset
 3019cd062d3f2c4797f948dbccf209c9a2b9f354.
