Comment:

 kunalashar: Alright, I think I may have mislead you some.  You proxy port
 should definitely be 8080.  However, it looks like it's not going to work.
 The official Yahoo! client does a different type of login when going
 through an http proxy and Pidgin does not support that.  I don't think
 you'll be able to log into Yahoo! with Pidgin through your proxy.  Unless
 you talk your proxy administrators into allowing SSL requests through port
 5050.

 I made a change so that the error message from the proxy server ("The
 specified Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) port is not allowed...") will be more
 noticeable in the future.  The fact that Yahoo! doesn't work is covered in
 bug #496.
