 What about your firewall?

 Why can't I connect to Yahoo! from behind a firewall or NAT?

 "On the Advanced tab, change the value in the Pager port field to 80.

 Pidgin and libpurple currently does not support wrapping he Yahoo! YMSG
 protocol in HTTP. But the original Y! Messenger supports this.
