 I too am experiencing latency in returning from idle/away state.  I would
 have to agree that this wasn't occurring before 2.0.1.

 My status/idle settings are:

 Idle:
 Report idle time: Based on keyboard or mouse use

 Away:
 Auto-reply: When both away and idle

 Auto-away:
 Change status when idle: checked
 Minutes before changing status: 5
 Change status to: Away

 Status at startup:
 Use status from last exit at startup: checked
