 occurrence basis.  It isn't worth spending tons of time adding logging and
 stuff when a negligible number of people are going to have issues.

 If you go into your Settings and Documents folder, rename your Application
 Data folder for a moment, run pidgin, it should work.  Change the
 application data folder back and that should fix the initial can't-get-
 over-the-hump-that-the-developers-won't-acknowledge-and-won't-bother-to-
 fix.
