 the commercial messanger trillian is able to open new message windows
 minimized or without focus. why shouldn't pidgin be able to do the same
 (as a core feature?!)

 maybe in the eye of many developers this sounds like a major thing, but
 this "feature/lack of feature" is really a major dealbreaker for many
 users.
