 Still crashes when the current setting references a folder which does not
 exist. For example, my .gaim's "prefs.xml" had sounds in
 "C:\Install\sounds\Gaim" which I renamed to "C:\Install\sounds\Pidgin"
 BEFORE installing Pidgin.

 When I try to "Choose..." a sound in a new location, it crashes (even with
 new DLL). If I manually edit .purple's "prefs.xml" to point to an existing
 folder, then this new DLL does not crash. If I manually revert .purple's
 "prefs.xml" back to the folder which does not exist, the crash returns.

 So, I think the problem deals with an EXISTING setting which refers to a
 folder which does NOT exist. Thanks!
