 well this is the problem I was trying to avoid. If I sounded rude, I want
 to apologize. The problem is that AIM only reacts to ":-\", it just won't
 disaply the matching graphic if someone sends a ":-/". We can "fix" this
 for the Pidgin side, sure. This is nice for those who only care how their
 own client looks like. But if you want the other side to see the emote,
 you will have to use the right sequence nevertheless. This is why I
 proposed to use the text replacer, as we cannot "fix" this otherwise. Hope
 this explains the problem.
