 Hi, I have the exact same problem. When I installed Pidgin 2 beta 7 over
 Gaim (I previously had Gaim 2 beta 6), initially the avatars for my Yahoo
 messenger buddies were showing as expected. Suddenly though, they
 disappeared. I tried installing 2 final and uninstalling Gaim to see if
 that would fix the problem, but no luck. Multiple reinstalls of Pidgin 2
 final haven't fixed the problem either. The avatars for my GTalk buddies
 show up fine, however; it's only YM that has the problem. Am using Windows
 XP. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks!
