 I have yet to be convinced pidgin can do this automatically in any useful
 way which is also safe and isn't too overzealous. rlaager seems to be
 convinced he can do it, I've assigned this to him for that reason. I would
 add though that given some of the comments we have been getting after the
 2.0.0 release that any such auto-contactizing would need to be optional,
 because it has become increasingly clear that not everyone wants this.
