 I think getting your friends to 'unbreak' their IM usage is likely a good
 place for you to start on this. I mostly agree that putting the protocol
 icons back in the conversation window somewhere would be a good idea and
 will likely get to working on a plugin for such sometime in the near
 future. I, however, still strongly think putting them back in the buddy
 list is a poor idea. I would however accept a system to add keybindings to
 switching the currently active conversation in the conversation window
 (instead of needing to mouse over to Send To) which method should likely
 print a message in the conversation window as it switches.
