Comment:

 On my home machine, amd64, lspci reports :
 00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
 VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 60)
 On my work machine, i386, lspci reports:
 00:1f.5 Multimedia audio controller: Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER
 (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Audio Controller (rev 02)
 The work machine was yesterday reinstalled as Centos5, since my boss is on
 an everything-must-be-centos kick. I've not tested with -lmcheck yet to
 see if the crash persists on centos.
