 Hmm, thought I commented on this after you posted the log (must have been
 when trac was up/down).

 The debug output you attached looks OK, so I'm not sure what the problem
 is. Could you try moving your ~/.pidgin and ~/.gaim directories out of the
 way and start with fresh settings to rule out some sort of prefs migration
 issue?

 If that doesn't solve the problem and you're comfortable compiling pidgin
 yourself, I could attach a patch here to add some additional debug output.
 Otherwise, I'll try to get some additional debug messages added in before
 2.0.1 and we can revist the problem then.
