Comment (by KyroMaster):
What I just noticed is also that pidgin still shows the "online" icon even
if connection drops. This also happens when not in standby. Should I file
a seperate bug report about this?
IMHO it's not a problem if the connection drops unexpectedly on standby
(other clients also do this) especially if windows-only workarounds don't
support linux and so on. The best thing would be IMHO that if the
connection drops (any reason) pidgin displays a "no connection" icon and
just tries to reconnect. This would also be good if e.g. a wireless
connection is dropped. I also filed a bug some time ago about ICQ messages
received during standby which weren't displayed after a reconnect. This
was in the SF bug tracker but I can't find it any more. Perhaps this is
fixed as well if the reconnect is a "clean one".
