 What I just noticed is also that pidgin still shows the "online" icon even
 if connection drops. This also happens when not in standby. Should I file
 a seperate bug report about this?
 IMHO it's not a problem if the connection drops unexpectedly on standby
 (other clients also do this) especially if windows-only workarounds don't
 support linux and so on. The best thing would be IMHO that if the
 connection drops (any reason) pidgin displays a "no connection" icon and
 just tries to reconnect. This would also be good if e.g. a wireless
 connection is dropped. I also filed a bug some time ago about ICQ messages
 received during standby which weren't displayed after a reconnect. This
 was in the SF bug tracker but I can't find it any more. Perhaps this is
 fixed as well if the reconnect is a "clean one".
