 Correct, with the current RPMs we provide you cannot get Sametime support.

 If you have a working meanwhile & meanwhile-devel installed (along with
 all the other build requirements for Pidgin) on your system you could
 build your own RPMs from the source RPM with:
 {{{
 rpmbuild --rebuild --with meanwhile --with silc --with tcl --with howl
 --with sasl --without modularx --without gstreamer
 pidgin-2.0.0-0.1.src.rpm
 }}}
 Not all of those '--with' options are required but they will get you the
 most functionality available on CentOS 4 + Sametime support.
