#532: finch not redrawing correctly, even after META-L

Comment (by itsB):
may i elaborate this redraw error by stating my own similar problem.[[BR]]
also running finch inside a screen session[[BR]]
problem is when i resize the terminal window while keeping the outer
terminal window constant (maximized) in gnome-terminal, i.e., open a
second terminal in the same window causing a tabbar to appear or closing
all other terminal tabs leaving only the relevant terminal window w/ no
tabbar.
any other type of window resizing, (only gnome-terminal and xterm tested)
it works properly but if i cause a resize b/c of gnome-terminal tab
dis/appearance then everything in the finch display disappears except the
taskbar at the bottom!
until i do a 'alt-n/p' in which case everything is refreshed after one
such shortcut key
unless: i only have a single item (blist) open in which case 'alt-n/p'
finds nothing to switch between and presumably no need to redraw, but if i
simply press a cursor key to browse the blist or do an alt-m move shortcut
then the blist reappears. another fix is to 'restore' the gnome-terminal
window size and then re-maximize the terminal window
