 You might ask -- who am I? What do I care? What right do I have? What I am
 is someone who remembers how gaim was years ago. Sure, it wasn't perfect.
 There were bugs and inefficiencies. But it was simple without being
 insulting, and it was functional beyond anything else that existed.
 Patches from anywhere were considered, and the IRC housed real discussion.
 Now, functionality is torn out daily in the name of a false simplicity,
 the development community is closed, the IRC is hostile from the first
 byte, and people are blatantly discouraged from testing the code in the
 public source repositories. For "open source" it ain't so open. And it's
 not working for anyone.
