Comment (by nosnilmot):

 Hmm, we open our plugins (which includes SSL support and therefore NSS)
 with G_MODULE_BIND_LOCAL to prevent symbols "polluting" the global name
 space.

 Does anyone know if G_MODULE_BIND_LOCAL actually does anything on FreeBSD
 ?
