 Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the problem is as follows:
 - The AIM client renders the message history a few points too large
 - Many AIM client users then adjust their own outgoing font to be smaller,
 as to achieve a "normal" size.
 - Pidgin on Windows happens to do a poor job at rendering small fonts
 - This all results in Windows Pidgin users not being able to read messages
 from friends.

 I attempted to fix this by making "smaller" rendered "not quite as small,"
 but I guess that didn't do the trick.

 I wouldn't be surprised if Winaim has adjusted the way it handles font
 sizes to include absolute font sizes in addition to relative sizes. If so,
 we should use that, and the problem goes away. As it is, there is indeed
 no bug in Pidgin.

 The only way I can think of working around it that doesn't totally break
 everything is to have the default size be one size smaller, and shift our
 local interpretation of them all. This is a hack, though, and I think it
 would break more than it fixes.
