 The subject basically says it all. The idea is to introduce a similar kind
 of behaviour as in the buddy list, where mousing over a buddy will get
 show you his contact icon at large size (as opposed to small size next to
 his name in the contact list). A similar thing would happen if you mouse
 over the icon selector for a certain timeout. This way you can easily
 preview for instance what happens when you use a small icon that gets
 resized to whatever size it gets resized to.

 Right now the only other place where I know pidgin displays your current
 contact icon at full size is in the account details of a specific account.
 I am not sure whether contact icons have different sizes in different
 protocols, which might cause problems.
