 1) several users sharing the same machine user account, even on other
 systems is not necessarily a missuse, as there can be good reasons for it.
 (several people sharing the same profile due to work schedule and other
 complications in their work really unecessary due to different user
 accounts)
 (my girlfriend sometimes wants to access her IM account and I let her use
 my computer, now, really, this doesn't necessitates creating a whole new
 user account on my machine).

 2) what I explained in the initial submission makes the (optional) hiding
 of empty groups counter-productive.
 As empty groups (from current account) _must_ be shown. Therefore the
 issue described in the last comment does not apply. Also it wouldn't apply
 for another reason, by reating a group, surely this must mean that an
 account is already connected. So that group would be tied to that account
 to begin with. (If more were active, it should be tied to each)

 The setting "show empty groups" might become "show groups from other
 accounts".
