 I'm looking at this dialog right now and I still don't know what it does.

 What happens when I check some accounts and press use? Will the selected
 status be applied to these accounts? Will the selected status be applied
 to accounts other than checked? What does "use a different status for some
 accounts" imply, exactly?

 Yes, SIM supports multiple accounts on the same protocol. And yes, it
 saves custom status if such status is set. For each account it has an
 option named "common status" which is set when you change the global
 status. And setting a custom status fo a network is as easy as right-
 clicking on a network protocol and selecting a new status.

 A one-click change is ''always'' better than a two-click path to a dialog
 that... does what exactly?
