 I did suggest: make status management easy. At the very least this could
 be added as a context menu and '''enabled by default''' (not pushed off
 into a plugin that isn't even available from a default installation).

 A typical user cares nothing about the inner workings of a program. It
 absolutely must be user-friendly. As I showed in my earlier comment,
 status management couldn't be further from that in Pidgin
