 It's still much more than two clicks.

 The plugin isn't included with pidgin and isn't enabled by default (though
 it should be, IMHO)

 So, I have to search the web for a possible solution, downlaod additional
 software (and I have to realise where it is, trac isn't the easiest place
 to search for such stuff either ;) )

 Then I have to download it and possibly install

 Definitely not the best solution to the problem ;)

 BTW. purple-plugin-pack isn't in any of SuSE's repositories, so I'll have
 to compile it myself. Oh, joy :)
