 If you install the mystatusbox plugin deryni recommended, it's only two
 clicks :)

 Account menu -> offline

 If you're using Windows, download the purple plugin pack from
 http://plugins.guifications.org/trac/downloads (the win32.zip one) and
 then all you need to do is copy the mystatusbox.dll to your
 .purple\plugins directory. If you're on Ubuntu and don't want to compile
 it yourself, I think
 {{{
 sudo apt-get install purple-plugin-pack
 }}}

 should do the trick. I believe in either case, you don't even need to
 restart Pidgin for it to see the plugin.
