Comment:

 This isn't an acceptable change to make; it'll cause breakage.  It is
 valid to use non-HTTP connections through a HTTP proxy when using the
 CONNECT method (as long as the proxy server supports it).

 You might have better luck using the "HTTP Method" checkbox in your MSN
 account advanced settings.
