 My previous post...  It does not seem to be resolving internally, from
 what I can tell now.  and as of this time we are not using MSN as a
 corporate solution.  It is a planned migration to the MSN client next
 month.

 Nonetheless, I am still having difficulties connecting via Pidgin but can
 connect fine using the MSN client.  I am using a slightly older version
 (2.1.1) of the portable Pidgin client.  I can't find an update to the
 newest release.  I had a similar problem with GTalk and was able to
 resolve it by changing the port in the proxy settings.
