 I would like to see Pidgin support XMPP http-bind and http-poll interfaces
 in the future, including http-auth support.

 RATIONALE:  In some cases, a server may expose a local Jabber server
 through https:// using an existing SSL certificate to protect the stream.
 In such cases, the SSL verification should behave as it would in the
 resolution to ticket #3381.

 Further, such an HTTPS server may require HTTP authentication, possibly
 backed by MySQL or LDAP.  An interface to handle HTTP-bind should handle
 HTTP auth too.
