I've dug through the settings of Pidgin in order to find a checkbox with
which I could set a auto-reconnect but I can't seem to find it so it isn't
there OR it is hidden quite good ;-).

Sometimes I get kicked of ICQ or MSN or both because of some network
 glitch of some sort.
Pidgin then shows that the connection failed for some reason, sometimes in
a pop-up, sometimes just as a button at the bottom of the contactlist
stating that the connection failed. [[BR]]
When clicking on that button Pidgin tries a reconnect and most of the
 times it succeeds.[[BR]][[BR]]
It would be nice to be able to set a auto-reconnect in case of (temporary)
networkproblems so that Pidgin would automatically reconnect in those
 cases.
Of course that shouldn't happen in case of Pidgin (or another IM-client)
connects to the account from another computer.[[BR]]
I'm not sure if that should be a setting in Pidgin itself or in the
seperate communication-modules it uses for the different networks.
