#3978: embedded GTK+ installer doesn't notify of failure to install correctly
------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
  Reporter: imasonaz | Owner: datallah
      Type: defect | Status: new
  Priority: minor | Milestone:
Component: winpidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.2.2
Resolution: | Keywords: GTK+ install errors pidgin says GTK not installed
   Pending: 0 |
------------------------------+---------------------------------------------
Changes (by datallah):
  * owner:  => datallah
  * component: pidgin (gtk) => winpidgin (gtk)
  * summary: After successfully reinstalling pidgin & GTK+, still says GTK
doesn't exist on WIN XP => embedded GTK+
installer doesn't notify of failure to install
              correctly
Comment:
The GTK+ installer shouldn't try to install where pidgin is, they're
 completely independent.
The GTK+ installer uses the previous location for silent upgrades, which
is a reasonable thing to do. I haven't heard other complaints about this.
If the gtk installer failed to install correctly (if that indeed is what
happened here), that is something that we should be doing a better job of
 making obvious.
