 Maybe this should be a setting (I know we strive to keep our settings
 uncluttered, and use sane defaults if possible), perhaps the "Smiley
 theme" tab should be "Smileys" that has perhaps a checkbox for "Show
 graphical smilies" and one checkbox for "Show smilies as I type", this one
 would be greyed out if the first one is unset.
