 I've noticed that when opening an IM window for a buddy with many log
 files, the window will take a longer amount of time to open.  I have been
 using Pidgin for quite some time now and it has gotten to the point where
 I will be waiting several seconds for an IM window to open.  Since most of
 the time I don't want to look at the logs of the conversation, I don't see
 why it's necessary to load the information about the logs before opening
 the log viewer.  My proposed suggestion would be to not load the
 information about the log files until the log viewer is opened.  That way
 all IM windows would open more quickly and in an equal amount of time.
