 Yep, sorry deryni - my mistake.

 I'd just naively seen the check for dbus-1 and dbus-glib-1 in the
 configure script and assumed they were the package names searched for.
 Confirmed detected OK with dev header packages installed.

 That will teach me to jump in! Feel free to close the enhancement.
