 I have the same problem with pidgin 2.2.1 on WinXP and Vista.  I have the
 OTR plugin as well.

 here is how I reproduce it:
 * open a conversation with a buddy that has multiple mediums (e.g. gmail
 and icq)
 * click Send To and select the medium that is not currently selected
 * close the conversation
 * crash

 I have a RPT file, I will attach.
