 I am ok with everything you said but not the "As reported this isn't a
 bug," part. If Pidgin says I am invisible but indeed I am not, thats a
 bug.

 I am not a Pidgin user myself, I am just reporting what seems to be an
 privacy issue. So I won't accept that this is a feature request which it's
 not.
