 After having installed version 2.2.0 I have seen that my HTTP proxy
 settings were cleared. The preference tab section displayed only the "Type
 of Proxy" list (HTTP, SOCKS 4, ...) without the textboxes associated to
 Username, Password, Host, Port.

 Workaround: changing the Type of Proxy immediately restored the textboxes,
 and once switched back to HTTP, I retyped all the informations.

 I've tried to close and reload Pidgin and Pidgin behaves the same (loses
 proxy settings and the preference page doesn't display the textboxes):
 that means that every time I start Pidgin 2.2.0 I have to apply the
 workaround to get things working.

 Ticket filed as related to version 2.1.1 because version 2.2.0 wasn't
 available in the version list.
