 "Brute force" solution:[[BR]]
 1) Go to [http://geddeth.dk/downloads/pidgin/] and download a pidgin-mtn
 build with a timestamp antecedent to the ticket closing date (I have used
 pidgin-mtn-(pidgin)-20070915 [http://geddeth.dk/downloads/pidgin/pidgin-
 mtn-(pidgin)-20070915.zip])[[BR]]
 2) Quit Pidgin ;)[[BR]]
 3) Extract libpurple.dll from the compressed archive and replace it inside
 your Pidgin installation directory[[BR]]
 4) Restart Pidgin ;), et voilà... that should make the trick.

 ps. libpurple.dll from the MTN should be considerably larger than the
 "official release" DLL file. Perhaps because the MTN is a debug build, but
 this shouldn't create any problems until 2.2.1 is released (I hope!).
