#3175: SOCK5(4?) broken in 2.2.0
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: Nagilum | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.2.0
 Keywords: SOCKS5 | Pending: 0
--------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
After updating from 2.1.1 to 2.2.0 this morning I found that the global
proxy settings don't work reliable anymore.[[BR]]
My current settings are to use a SOCKS5 server on localhost, however when
I opened that tab in 2.2.0 the fields for entering
servername, port, username and password were gone. When I switched to HTTP
they re-appeared (empty) and also kept there when I switched back to
SOCKS(4|5). Unfortunately the information stored in those fields is not
preserved (or used). So even after entering the information again it was
gone when I opened the settings again.[[BR]]
Also connections would not work since the servername (and
 port,username,passord) is(are) not stored.[[BR]]
This is the Windows version running on WinXP.
