 This is critical to many people in a corporate environment.  I would go as
 far as saying it is a show-stopper (i.e. a single-sign-on LDAP password).

 Sun already ship a version of Pidgin with gnome-keyring integration in
 recent Nevada builds to address these issues.

 Is there any developer that can suggest what the appropriate architectural
 way of implementing this support would be done?  I am very willing to
 spend the time working on a proper solution to this problem if I can get
 an idea of exactly how best to tackle it.

 I understand we do not want to *require* linking against gnome-keyring, OS
 X's mechanism, etc. so some form of extended plugin must be required.  Can
 anybody provide more details for me to look into?
