 Any implementation that wants to get accepted into libpurple proper will
 be abstracted--that is, make a generic API for it that generically wraps
 the functionality provided by gnome-keyring, KDE's wallet, OS X's
 keychain, whatever mechanism is available on Windows, etc.

 This would be similar to how our SSL plugins are set up, where a uniform
 interface is provided and the plugin itself deals with the differences
 between the purple API and the library's API.
