 With only a few formatting changes, the changelog could be made to be
 valid Markdown.  Then generating HTML would be trivial.

 (But I guess it wouldn't follow the standard changelog formatting then.
 Does that matter?)

 I guess it might be even better to make it valid Trac WikiFormatting, and
 then write some mtn tag hook to shunt it into the wiki?
