 Because pidgin is awesome, and will certainly get awesomer. Whilst XP is
 functional, Vista is less functional.

 A better analogy is having a sports car that gets 5mpg and uses a baby
 grinder for fuel. A new model comes out that gets 50mpg, goes twice as
 fast, has a microwave oven, and comes with kittens, sans baby grinder too.
 But the door handles are a different color, and you don't like that. Isn't
 it better to fix the door handles than waste all those kittens?
