 I'm afraid that tells me nothing, what about that is uncomfortable
 exactly? Besides the fact that I can't imagine using a window that big
 (mostly in width) for IM at all. Are you aware that you don't need to
 click in the input area to begin typing? You can click anywhere in the
 history area and when you start typing your focus will be moved to the
 input area automatically.
